We would like to say a big and heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful supporters for all you have done for Lancashire Mind this year.
Your support means so much to the team here and all those who access our services. Whether you have fundraised for us, made a monthly donation, shared your own story or volunteered every one of you has contributed to the work we do helping others.
As a local, independent charity it is local people, organisations, businesses and communities who help us to raise vital funds and raise awareness of Lancashire Mind and mental health. This helps us deliver support and services, continue to reduce stigma and encourage people to have conversations and reach out when they need support.
While our commissioned work with the NHS and local authorities allows us to deliver some core services and fund our central costs, it is the donations from yourselves - from individuals and businesses - which mean we can invest in areas of work where we can see an immediate need, and where there is no other funding.
Last year, donations enabled these four new projects, that otherwise would not have happened:
- Extending our offer of wellbeing coaching for children and young people, so every young person in Lancashire who needs this service can access these services, with minimal waiting time.
- Delivering Bounce Forward programme which helps young people build resilience at key points in their lives, to schools in North Lancashire.
- An innovative programme to look at new ways of preventing homelessness and providing safe accommodation for people with long term mental health conditions.
- A new engagement worker to reach people in communities across Lancashire and help them co-design solutions to wellbeing challenges, influencing NHS and local authority decision-makers.
We have lots to share with you in 2022, so please do sign up to our newsletter by emailing [email protected] and follow our social media pages.
Thank you once again for your support. We wish you a restful end to the year and good wishes for 2022.
