Shine for Sian was created by Paul 'Pud' Waterhouse and his family after the loss of their beloved daughter Sian. Over the past 18 months Pud and his family have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of mental health and raise funds for Lancashire Mind. To date the Shine for Sian campaign has raised over £50,000 for Lancashire Mind, to help support the work we do in North Lancashire. 

The Skydive Challenge

Pud invites you to  tandem skydive in memory of Sian. Last year 35 people took part in this challenge and we hope this year will be even bigger. *Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we are asking people to organise a date for their own skydive rather than having a set date for all skydives. If circumstances change and we are able to hold the challenge as a group event we will let you know. Please note that should you need to change the date of your skydive, any sponsorship will be transferred to that date and Lancashire Mind will be unable to refund sponsorship money due to a date change.  

You can choose to fundraise to cover the cost of your skydive or pay the full amount of £225 yourself. Either way you will making a huge difference to the work we do. 

To sign up for the skydive please fill in your details and pay the £50 deposit. You will receive a confirmation email. Once you have received this please reply with your signed agreement (available below) to confirm your place. If you want to cover the remaining cost of the skydive through fundraising all you have to do is raise a minimum of £350, do your skydive and Lancashire Mind will cover the rest.

Please note-If your skydive is cancelled, you will be asked to rearrange the jump as soon as possible. There are no refunds for the cost of the jump. Those who have sponsored you will be asked to honour their donation should the date of the jump be changed for reasons outside of the individual’s or Lancashire Mind’s control such as poor weather conditions or a health outbreak.

Once you're signed up you can join the closed 'Shine for Sian Skydive' Facebook group for support from everyone else who will be taking part in a skydive for Shine for Sian.
