Welcome to Mental Elf 2020!
This year our Lancashire Mind fundraisers have swapped their usual 5km Mental Elf fun run for our biggest ever group fundraising challenge! They will be travelling 3226 virtual kilometres from Lancashire all the way to Lapland!
Mental Elf is proudly sponsored by Lancashire based business Conlon
The virtual finishline is proudly sponsored by EPSL Educational Printing
The Elfie Selfie competition is proudly sponsored by Community Rail Lancashire
The Best Dressed Elf competition is proudly sponsored by Clitheroe Rugby Club
And to help us get in the festive spirit, we are announcing the launch of the Mental Elf Virtual Christmas Marketplace!
How does Mental Elf work?
The Mental Elf 2020: Lancashire Mind to Lapland challenge will run from Tuesday 1st December to Saturday 12th December.
Simply purchase your ticket, set up your Just Giving page, which you can link to Lancashire Mind's official Mental Elf 2020 and then get moving!
***From 2nd December Mental Elf participant packs will be sent electronically only. We have a very limited number of Mental Elf Wristbands left so can not guarantee you will receive a wristband upon booking.***
Once you have completed your kms, add them to the 'Lancashire Mind's Mental Elf 2020' closed Facebook group where they will count towards the total distance that we need to travel as a group to reach our destination.
🎄The more kms you cover the closer we get to Lapland! 🎄
What do our participants get when they sign up?
Once you've signed up, you'll receive a welcome pack in the post which includes:
➡ a mental elf wristband
➡ running card
➡ an elf for Elfie Selfies
➡ fundraising and sponsorship guide
➡ a Festive five ways to wellbeing poster
➕ Exclusive access to our Lancashire Mind to Lapland closed Facebook group. Our closed Facebook group will be the heart of the Mental Elf 2020: Lancashire Mind to Lapland community. Within this group we will share:
How do we celebrate as one, big team?
We will be holding a virtual finish line event on the final day of the challenge which all our participants will be invited to join.
➕ Once the event has finished our participants will receive a medal and certificate in the post!
Why take part?
Christmas can be a difficult time for many. The Mental Elf 2020: Lancashire to Lapland challenge is all about bringing people across Lancashire together. We want to give people something fun and positive to focus on after a year of challenge, change and uncertainty. This challenge is centred around wellbeing and we want everyone taking part to come away with an improved wellbeing through exercise, getting outside, connecting with others, learning something new, giving back and having lots of fun!
The great thing about this year's event is that:
➡ You can do it anywhere in Lancashire
➡ You can choose the days with good weather
➡ You can choose your distance
