we want to thank the Lancashire Mind fundraisers who are doing things a little differently.
Whilst many fundraising activities can no long take place as planned- marathons, club days, charity balls to name but a few- Lancashire Mind is facing the challenge of substantial lost fundraising income which is vital to the running our small, local charity.
In the face of this challenge we have been approached by a number of supporters who have thought of ways to continue to safely support us and we can't thank those people enough.
This week Just Giving pages have been set up by-
-someone who is asking people to donate what they would have spent going on a birthday night out with her to Lancashire Mind.
-someone who is offering free online fitness classes in return for donations to Lancashire Mind.
-someone who has run the postponed Blackpool marathon (26.2 miles) on their driveway
-someone who owns a barbers shop and is challenging people to let their hair grow out until lockdown is lifted. Once open again, barbers will cut the hair of those who have taken part and donate the usual price of a cut to Lancashire Mind.
Fundraising Lead Emma Bateson said: "It's amazing to hear from individuals like these. In challenging times for everyone they are thinking of how they can help others and support Lancashire Mind in a safe way. They have shown creativity and generosity and we are very fortunate to have people like this supporting the charity and the work that we do.
"I would also like to thank those who have signed up to the Lancashire Mind 30:30 Challenge. This is a great way to look after your wellbeing and, if you can, raise some much needed funds for Lancashire Mind.
