Jess began Wellbeing Coaching with Lancashire Mind after her teachers and parents noticed a change in her. Jess was in her final year of high school and the pressure of exams and high self-expectations were affecting her mental health.

Jess felt down and overwhelmed as well as a lack of control over situations in her life. Our Wellbeing Coach Hazel worked with Jess to develop coping strategies and change her approach. Hazel helped Jess to access tools that worked for her that she could use at that time and in the future.

From the first session Jess started to change. She felt listened to, trusted and as a result opened up properly to her parents for the first time.

Jess' mum said: "I think the coaching worked so well because we didn’t brush how Jess was feeling under the carpet. As soon as we realised something was wrong the school acted so quickly and before we knew it Lancashire Mind were involved. Had we not done this I fear the end result would have been very different!

"Jess is now thriving at college and I absolutely believe it is because of the coaching she had, which helped her focus on the right things and move forwards positively. Hazel and Lancashire Mind changed my daughter's life and I am so very grateful for what they did for our family."
