Mental Elf is Back

Lancashire's best festive fundraiser is back and rearing to go on raising awareness and funds for better mental health for everyone living and working in Lancashire.

And this year, following an incredible virtual challenge in 2020, it’s back bigger than ever!

This year you can take part in our 5k fun run at Witton Park, our seven-day virtual challenge or join us at a local park run – or all three!

This year we need you to help us collectively travel the distance from Pike to Pole- Rivington Pike to the North Pole. That is an incredible distance of 4042 km and we know you can do it!

We want to raise £20,000 from the event to support the work Lancashire Mind does across the county.

As a charity we have suffered a significant loss in income whilst demand for our services has grown dramatically. We are determined to continue to offer the right support at the right time to everyone who needs it but to do that we need your help.

This year you can enjoy:

A festive atmosphere at the 5k fun run at Witton Park on 5th December with live entertainment, a festive marketplace and a visit from Father Christmas himself.

A virtual challenge, covering your kms at a time and place that suits you whilst being a part of a supportive community via our Mental Elf closed Facebook community.

Meeting Lancashire Mind staff at local park run events across Lancashire. We will be joining you on the runs and enjoying refreshments at the end – with the opportunity to talk to you about the important work we do.

“We certainly missed it in 2020 but it was wonderful to see so many supporters engage in our virtual challenge which took place instead. This year we were keen to expand our Mental Elf offering by holding the virtual challenge again, coupled with our well-loved 5k fun run at Witton Park and with the new addition of involvement with some of our local park runs helping us to get out into different communities.”
