On Monday 10th October people in gyms, offices and out in the community wore blue for better mental health. At Lancashire Mind we were proud to see so many photos shared- a sea of blue showing support, understanding and encouraging conversations as we all stood together!

Blue also shined across Lancashire for the evening with Blackpool Tower, Blackburn Cathedral and Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park lighting up as beacons for everyone in Lancashire. Whilst the Lancashire Mind teams were out in Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, Lancaster and Blackpool delivering sessions, spreading the word and offering wellbeing activities.

Head of Development Helen Fairweather said: "We would like to thank everyone across Lancashire who took part in #BlueforLancashire for World Mental Health Day. Our teams had some amazing conversations in locations across Lancashire and we saw so much support for people experiencing mental health conditions or barriers to good mental health.

"The day really united so many people who share our goal of mental wellbeing for all. We know that poor mental health can impact any one at any time in their life. Events such as #BlueforLancashire continue to encourage conversations, reduce stigma and convey compassion and support- these are all things that we all need when it comes to our mental health.
