Marking 25 years of Lancashire Mind

Boars, Bunting and Big Milestones!
Lancashire Mind marks a monumental milestone with a 25th Anniversary event at Lancashire’s Wild Boar Park. Celebrating 25 years of delivering life-changing mental health support across the county.
Sunshine, celebration and a whole lot of smiles – our anniversary event was one to remember. We were joined by more than 80 guests including members of our incredible team, trustees, ambassadors, representatives from some of our brilliant corporate partners and most importantly people with lived experience of our services. All coming together to mark 25 years of supporting mental health across Lancashire, with an afternoon of fun and wellbeing at the stunning Wild Boar Park, with the tipi event space kindly donated by Bowland Tipis.
From relaxing yoga with The Yogi Group and mindful Lego building with NW Brick Community; to tractor rides and animal meet-and-greets; the event brought together connection, community and a celebration of wellbeing. There were even party games (and plenty of cake). It was a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come since Lancashire Mind was formed back in 2000 and to look ahead at the impact we’re still determined to make.
CEO David Dunwell said: “It was important for us to bring our team and those who support us together away from screens. Bowland Tipis and the wider park is an incredible space that allowed us celebrate in style and thank so many people who have contributed to where we are today.”
“It was about taking a moment together as a team to remember why we are here and where we want to be. Our team and the people who support us are incredibly dedicated and we wanted to do something for them.”
Since the year 2000, over 50,000 people have accessed support through Lancashire Mind and this is just the beginning. Thank you to everyone who came along, to those who made it possible, and to every supporter who helps us improve mental health across Lancashire – past, present and future.
About our 25th Anniversary Year
We’ve been dedicated to supporting mental health across Lancashire since the year 2000, when three local Minds merged to create Lancashire Mind. Since then, over 50,000 people have received vital help thanks to your incredible support and the commitment of our incredible staff and volunteers. Throughout 2025, we’ll embark on a year-long anniversary campaign to not only reflect on our impact but to rally our community for the work still to be done.
