Is your wellbeing affected by your relationship with money? Do you find that your decisions around money are in turn, affected by your mental health?

We are offering a new service to help you manage your mental health when you have money problems. We will listen to what support you need across 8 sessions & develop a wellbeing toolkit of self-help techniques to help you manage your mental health when you have money problems.

Money and Me has been developed with people who have lived experience of mental health problems and with professionals.

Why do we need a service for Money & Mental Wellbeing?

In a survey conducted by national Mind between January and April 2021, we discovered:

  • 82% of people said worrying about money had affected their mental health
  • Money problems (especially problem debt) have a huge negative impact on mental health (including leading to suicidal thoughts)
  • 30% report their finances control their lives
  • People are over spending to boost wellbeing

We are currently looking for people who want to take part in our upcoming group sessions, which start at the end of January and early February. These sessions will look at topics including: your relationship with money, taking the first step, and therapeutic spending. Could this be something you can benefit from?
