Lancashire Mind believe that good housing is essential to good mental health. Our housing service provides accommodation and help for people experiencing poor mental health.
We support people to identify and overcome barriers to independent living. The service centres around individual needs. It supports people to manage and maintain their accommodation.
Our tenants receive support in a range of areas including:
- managing finances
- claiming benefits
- keeping your property safe and secure
- accessing services in the community
- building confidence and self-esteem
- maintaining contact with others involved in your support
- accessing health and care services
- increasing independence
When the time is right, we help people to move on. This is usually after two years when people are ready to be independent. We help people to look and apply for suitable housing and prepare for moving.
