Resilient Roots: helping young children across Hyndburn transition to Primary School.

The Resilient Roots Programme focuses on early intervention for young children. By working with children aged three to five and their families we can help develop the emotional literacy, resilience and social skills needed during the crucial transition into primary school.

Resilient Roots will deliver six play-based group sessions for children in primary schools and community settings such as Family Hubs. Through story-led activities and practical tools, children will build confidence, learn to recognise and manage their emotions, and strengthen their ability to connect with others.

Alongside children’s sessions, Lancashire Mind will run workshops for parents and carers, providing practical guidance to help them support their child’s wellbeing and transition into school. Families will also receive accessible digital resources and signposting to additional support where needed.

Special thanks to the East Lancashire Freemasons for funding and supporting this project delivered by Lancashire Mind.
