Fundraising is a great way to support your local mental health charity, Lancashire Mind. All the money raised for Lancashire Mind stays in Lancashire. The amazing support we receive from our fundraisers means that we can change lives across Lancashire as we work towards our vision of Mental Wellbeing for All. Thank you!
Donations from individuals, organisations and businesses allow us to invest in areas of work where we can see an immediate need, and where there is no other funding. Last year, this donation income allowed us to invest in four new projects, that otherwise would not have happened:
· Extending our offer of wellbeing coaching for children and young people, so that every young person in Lancashire who needs this service can access it, with minimal waiting time
· Delivering Bounce Forward across schools in North Lancashire – this is a programme which helps young people build resilience at key points in their lives, such as the transition from primary to secondary school
· An innovative programme to look at new ways of preventing homelessness and providing safe accommodation for people with long term mental health conditions
· Adding a new engagement worker to reach people in communities across Lancashire and help them co-design solutions to wellbeing challenges and to influence decision makers in the NHS and local authorities
Are Mind and Lancashire Mind the same?
Lancashire Mind is a local Mind organisation. We're an independent charity, run by local people for the people of Lancashire. If you fundraise for Lancashire Mind, the money raised will stay in Lancashire and be used to provide support and services for people locally.
Mind, is a national mental health charity that campaigns for better mental health and provides support to the network of local Minds. If you fundraise for Mind, the money raised will be spent nationally to further the work of Mind across England and Wales.
