Managing Mental Health in the WorkplaceAimed at managers and supervisors, this half day training session provides a greater understanding of common mental health conditions in the workplace and what signs to look for in staff. This may be a starting point to encourage senior level buy-in or to ensure your organisation is offering a consistent approach to supporting mental health at work. Together we will be examining misconceptions and considering best practice; including asset mapping your current offer and possibly improving on it. Our experienced trainers will support you to consider practical and realistic ways forward for your organisation.
Self-awareness of Stress, Anxiety and Depression SeminarThis hour-long seminar will raise awareness and understanding of stress, anxiety and depression; and challenge stigma and misconceptions around these experiences. This seminar is often a starting point for workplaces to encourage individuals to talk about thoughts and feelings and to looking after their mental health in the long term.
Introduction To Resilience SeminarAn hour-long seminar to raise awareness of resilience building and provide two practical tools which delegates can embed into their work or personal life to improve their emotional wellbeing. This session will give delegates an insight of how resilience is built over time and is a great foundation seminar to encourage individuals to embed self-care and develop strategies to support long term positive mental wellbeing.
The Stress Buster!This hour-long activity based workshop is a 'fun' way of highlighting the stresses experienced in the workplace and identifying the thoughts and feelings associated with these experiences. Participants will then explore simple personal tools to manage that present moment stress. Please note this does not include tools to improve long term positive mental wellbeing. However, if you are looking for something a little bit 'fun' to address a sometimes challenging topic, this workshop may fit the culture of your workplace....
Christmas Survival GuideIt comes around just once a year, but if you're looking for something festive, our one-hour seminar takes a light-hearted look at how to support our emotional wellbeing through this busy period. Exploring the challenges this period can bring including 'managing relationships' to 'spending Christmas alone', we encourage participants to share positive experiences and we provide hints and tips to help your staff get through it.

  • Introduction to the dual model of mental health
  • Common mental health conditions
  • The role of stigma in the workplace
  • The importance of resilience and Mind’s resilience model
  • Three practical tools for resilience

Supporting Student Mental Health and Resilience SeminarA two-hour seminar aimed at developing teacher understanding of the importance of mental health and resilience for young people, covering:
  • The importance of building resilience from an early age
  • Signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions in young people
  • Talking about mental health with young people
  • Embedding resilience in the classroom
  • Further support for children, young people and parents

Understanding Self HarmThis half day workshop will encourage you to challenge your thinking around self harm and tackle misconceptions and myths around the subject. You will be looking at risk factors, safeguarding, harm minimisation and helpful strategies to support people who self harm. You will walk away with knowledge of how to respond to self harm in a helpful so to encourage engagement and support moving forward.
Self Harm Lunch & LearnThis one hour seminar is an introduction to understanding self harm aimed at challenging misconceptions.
Parent seminarsWe can deliver a range of one-hour seminars to increase parental awareness of mental health and resilience for young people, alongside increasing awareness and engagement with your school’s approach to wellbeing.

We offer a range of open access courses that anyone in Lancashire can book onto. We run these throughout the year and advertise them on our events page where you can also register your interest.
